Audit Command Language (ACL 201) for Intermediate to Expert Users- Techniques for Data Analysis Training Course
This course is designed for experienced (intermediate to expert) ACL users who want to deepen their knowledge and skills of ACL advance scripting capabilities. Participants will learn how to use ACL commands and expressions to accomplish sets of complex data analysis tasks and use cases in an interactive and hands-on environment. During the training, participants will be given the opportunity to practice the planning and execution of data analytics project by working through series of use cases and case studies to largely depicts real world problems/scenarios. Through the use case/case-study approach, participants will learn how to effectively use ACL to solve complex problem in real world situations and discover what it means to think with ACL.
At the end of this training course, you will be able to:
1. Understand planning techniques and requirement gathering for ACL project.
2. Apply ACL analytics in a structured audit process.
3. Break analysis/control objectives into structured and manageable steps.
4. Identify and apply the ACL Analytics functionalities needed to achieve specific control/assurance objectives.
5.Use ACL Analytics to import data from difference data sources, prepare data for analysis, analyze data, and render output reports.
6. Examine data elements and table structures for efficient execution.
7. Use best practice methodology and frameworks.
8. Prepare data for analysis by testing the integrity of data (control totals, bounds, completeness, uniqueness, association, summarization and recalculation) to assessing whether integrity issues will impair analysis objectives.
9. Test complete set of data to identify patterns that may be indicative of the cause(s) of issues, errors or frauds.
10. Evaluate data to reveal exceptions and irregularities.
11. Document entire scope of analysis and process to be included in working papers and issues logs.
12. Developing ACL scripts for advance/complex analytics and real-time monitoring.
